SEVERED

Severed is a series of digital photographic compositions that explores my personal experiences with dissociation—a mental state of disconnection from thoughts, memories, emotions, and identity.

Through a combination of layered imagery, self-portraiture, and abstraction, I aim to represent the sensation of being both present and disconnected. I utilize multiple exposures and vibrant colors to capture the surreal feeling of being detached from reality.

Each piece serves as both an experiment and a method of processing—driven by curiosity and a need to understand my inner world.

Severed explores the transformation of invisible experiences into visible form, using photography to navigate themes of memory, identity, and mental health.
